To enable successful decision making, planning and control, the management accountant has become a key player within the modern business environment. This course will enhance your ability to think about management and organisational change in a strategic way. The Stage 1 Diploma will lay a strong foundation of the key theories and techniques of accounting and finance management. The Stage 2 MSc Top-Up programme will provide further professional development building your ability to apply accounting theory and practice to real issues that are faced in day-to-day operations. Stage 2 is specially designed as a professional development opportunity for AIA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA Australia or ACA graduates.

This pathway consists of two stages:

Entry Requirements
For entry onto the Stage 1 Diploma applicants will typically posses:

A UK Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent and two years managerial work experience OR;
-
At least five years managerial work experience (evaluated on an individual basis) AND;
-
A good command of English (equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above)
For direct entry onto the Stage 2 Diploma applicants will typically posses:
-
A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, AIA, CIMA, CPA Australia OR;
-
The EduQual SCQF level 11 Diploma in Accounting and Finance AND;
-
A good command of English (equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above)
Applicants that do not possess the necessary qualifications for direct entry onto the Top-Up programme can complete the EduQual diploma in Accounting and Finance with Douglas Business School.
