Course Overview
This pathway is designed for human resource practitioners who wish to build upon their continuing professional and personal needs whilst broadening specialist knowledge in the HRM field. You will enhance your ability to think strategically about management and organisational change. The ‘Research Methods and Dissertation’ module in the Stage 2 Top-Up programme covers an introduction to research, types of research methodology, formulating and planning a research project, data collection, and analysis and presentation of research findings.

This pathway consists of two stages: the EduQual Level 11 Diploma in Human Resource Management and the MA in Human Resource Management (Top-Up). Stage 2 is specifically designed for Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) graduates, however, completion of the Stage 1 Diploma will enable direct entry onto the Stage 2 Top-Up programme.

Entry Requirements
For entry onto the Stage 1 Diploma applicants will typically posses:

A UK Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent and two years managerial work experience OR;

At least five years managerial work experience (evaluated on an individual basis) AND;
-
A good command of English (equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above)
For direct entry onto the Stage 2 Diploma applicants will typically posses:

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Postgraduate Diploma OR;

The EduQual SCQF level 11 Diploma in Human Resource Management AND;
-
A good command of English (equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above)
Applicants that do not possess the necessary qualifications for direct entry onto the Top-Up programme can complete the EduQual Diploma in Human Resource Management with Douglas Business School.
